Our School
NPCS is a college and career prep academy that focuses on classical, Christian education. We are committed to providing students with the Biblical framework that allows them to think critically. We are not a Christian school just because we teach a Bible class. Our students learn the skills necessary to evaluate life and weigh decisions through the lens of God’s Word.

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower students with the necessary tools they need to honour God in their lives and choices, become critical thinkers, and grow into citizens who are agents of change.
Our Vision
The vision of New Providence Classical School is to create a K3 through twelfth-grade school setting where persons find value and feel nurtured as they face academic challenges and strive to be and do their best. We train students to have strong minds and hearts that are responsive to God's truth, goodness, and beauty.
Our History
The story of New Providence Classical School takes root in the family heritage of our co-founders – sisters whose family modeled and taught them an appreciation for education, excellence, and community service. Our founders had pioneering grandparents who were intentional in making life better for their family and the community around them. They instilled their work ethic and willingness to help others in the next generation.
In 1922, when few Bahamians sought higher education, the young man who became the patriarch of this founding family went to University. That young Bahamian returned home, got married, and found employment with the government. Most significantly, he worked alongside his wife, and together they forged an alliance that established cottage businesses and created community networks that led to the education and empowerment of others in the Bahamas.
Our founders and staff hold his pursuit of excellence and commitment to education in their hearts. This family often said, "If you help others, you help yourself." Unfortunately, our co-founders noticed that their fellow Bahamians did not hold the same belief, nor were they passing on the core values of our heritage as a people. Our co-founders quietly prayed about what each could possibly do to help reverse the cultural and moral disintegration that seemed to be taking place in our country.
Soon, our co-founders discovered the world of classical education. Inspired by family members involved in education, they knew that the Bahamas would benefit from the strength, excellence, and beauty found in classical education. In January 2008, the dream of New Providence Classical School was born!
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, infallible, and inerrant word of God, and that it is the final authority on all matters.
We believe in one God who is eternal and exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the person and works of Jesus Christ. That Jesus is God and also man.
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus and that He died, was buried, raised again, and ascended to heaven.
We believe in the depravity of man and that without God man is in a lost condition.
We believe that trust in God and acceptance of Jesus’ finished work on the cross leads to regeneration and everlasting life in God’s presence.
We believe that there is life after death. After death, one is resurrected either to a life separated from God (damnation to hell) or to heaven, life eternal in God’s presence.
We believe that God cares, is loving, personal, and knowable.
We believe we are dependent on the power of God and the work of the Holy Spirit to renew and equip us in continual growth, fellowship, faithfulness, love, and obedience.
We believe in the unity of believers and that individually and collectively we have a mandate to share God’s good news and help others.
